Meet the question writers! We are retired Missouri public school teachers. We know kids, and we know HOW to ask questions! Hi! I'm Cheri. I've been a K-12 librarian for the past 25 years (most of the time in high schools). I enjoyed working with our local Academic team competitions as a "reader" and also traveling with the kids to "away" competitions. At one point we were desperate for questions - so, I  started writing them. After retirement, I began writing and selling to other schools; and now have supplied questions for many schools in several states.   My philosophy is that academic competitions should be FUN! Questions should not be written to be IMPOSSIBLE.  My current emphasis is on pyramidal style questions that give advantage to the students who have the most in depth knowledge of the subject. Hello! My name is Pat. I spent 25 years in public schools teaching 5th to 8th grades. My emphasis is on social studies and science. My husband was also a teacher, coach and principal. I have many text books available, and they are my best source for questions. I strive to keep my questions based on Missouri curriculum as well as current events. (Like most of you, I spent plenty of time preparing my students for the MMAT!). I sincerely hope you will enjoy using our questions.
